Alexandra graduated from the Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage 2200 Hour program with a 100 Hour certification in sports therapy. By having her sports certification she is able to provide deep specific massage techniques, along with fascial techniques directed towards muscle imbalances leading to everyday aches and pains. She is also able to incorporate Swedish massage techniques guiding the body into a state of relaxation and aiding the healing process.
Living a very active lifestyle she understands first handedly the importance of relaxation and balance to achieve overall well-being. She is passionate about providing individualized client care, and providing the education and exercises to encourage long term healing.
A session with Alexandra will begin with an initial consultation to develop an appropriate treatment plan and will end with instructions for strengthening and stretching exercises to create self-care routines at home.
The treatment typically starts off with a gentle massage to encourage relaxation and put the body at ease. Once the muscles are relaxed, fascial techniques, along with therapeutic and deep tissue pressure will be introduced. Her sports therapy training enables her to understand and better focus on injured and strained muscles, especially the legs, gluteal muscles groups and neck.
