Prior to Arrival
NOURISH + HYDRATE: Drink plenty of water and eat lightly at least an hour or more before your session so that you arrive with an empty stomach.
SELECTING A SESSION TYPE: Review the services we offer and let a front desk staff know your preference of therapist, pressure, or massage type when you book your appointment. If you have any questions, you can address them at the time of booking. This will help ensure you’re matched with someone who will be able to best work with your needs.
LIV offers an introductory offer of $60 for a 60 minute session of your choice between deep tissue, therapeutic and relaxation massage.
OTHER MODALITIES: LIV offers a variety of other services including energy work, cranio-sacral therapy and nutrition to help you create a well balanced lifestyle.
what to expect
AFFECTS: Massage can help you experience better sleep, range of mobility, relaxation, some physical tenderness and at times mild discomfort. Allow for a few days to see the full benefit.
THERAPISTS: Our therapists are among the top professionals in Calgary. All of LIV's RMTs are certified with 2200 hours and are covered by all major insurance companies.
DIRECT BILLING: We offer direct billing to SSQ Financial, Green Shield and Alberta Blue Cross. We are able to submit claims to most major provider such as Manulife, Sunlife and Great West Life. Please have your insurance card with you at the time of your massage.
HYDRATION: It is especially important to drink plenty of water as muscle tissues can become dehydrated during a massage. Drinking water can be helpful in rehydration, building healthy muscle tissue, and removing toxins that accumulate in the body.
RELAXATION: Soak in a sea salt or Himalayan salt bath to get extra relief for sore muscles or stiffness. Ice swollen muscles if recovering from an injury and get a good night’s sleep to allow ample time for muscle recovery and relaxation.
FOLLOW UP: You can always expect to receive a follow up e-mail to ensure you were provided with the best service possible. An insurance receipt will be sent via email for your records.
